One night I had a dream that I was frustrated about my career and the stand still I was going through at the time. Before the dream ended I walked to my truck and saw that someone I didn't know was under the hood. It was Heavy D, and I yelled at him. He rose up and looked at me and said "Dawg, don't be like that. See man, you gotta learn how to relax man. Take it easy and just be cool man." So when I heard this beat I remembered to be laid back and not stress about everything because sometimes what you want doesn't require you to run to it. Sometimes what you want is actually running toward you.

The story that's in the song is about a dude who sees this bad chick he wants to go holla at but he's gotta play it cool because all the dudes at that spot are all over her and she notices him. So all he has to do is play it cool, because she's gonna leave the spot with him anyway.
